Make the Most of Your Conference Experience...

Get connected! Visit isteconnects.org on a regular basis to keep in touch with your peers, colleagues, and fellow members.

Add your voice. Create a Twitter account and tweet your comments to designated hashtags. You can also discuss individual sessions via the conference Ning.

Stay up-to-date. Use our mobile app and read the ISTE Daily Leader for the latest onsite news, features, announcements, and schedule changes. Follow us on Twitter at @isteconnects and tweet #iste11 to get regular updates and announcements all week long!

Grok the landscape. Attend the Conference Kickoff and Member Celebration on Sunday afternoon to learn more about the wide variety of things to do and see at ISTE 2011. Don't forget to review the convention center and exhibit hall maps, too!

Divide and conquer. If you're with a team, agree on what you want to cover and split up. Team meeting space and lounges are available in many areas.

Make a road map. Use the online conference planner in conjunction with the mobile app to record and update your intended schedule. Use the dedicated Planner Stations in "the Hive" on the third floor mezzanine near the "Doctor Is In."

Don't miss a thing. Get a fix on transportation to and from the convention center. Shuttle schedules are available in most hotel lobbies, and the Transportation Booth at the 12th and Arch St. Lobby. Many hotels are within walking distance!

BYOL Sessions Require Preregistration

BYOL sessions are open to all registered attendees; however, due to limited seating and high demand, they require preregistration to attend. BYOL sessions are included in the daily session listings in your conference program, or can be found via the program search. Visit Onsite Registration in the Grand Hall to check availability and sign up.

IMPORTANT: Seats not filled five minutes before scheduled session start time will be released to those waiting on stand-by on a first-come basis.

BYOL Help Desk

Anyone attending a BYOL session or workshop should check the session prerequisites to make sure your laptop or mobile device has all the software needed to participate. Use the program search to look up your session's prerequisites on the session detail page or visit the BYOL Help Desk for assistance: Monday, 7:45 am-5:15 pm, Tuesday, 9:45 am–4:45 pm, and Wednesday, 7:45 am–2:15 pm, outside Room 118B.

Conference Planner

A personal planner is a powerful tool to help you get the most out of the conference. Go to the conference planner tool to get started. You can also use the conference mobile app to access your conference planner and update your schedule. Onsite, you can create, print, and get help at the Doctor Is In station: Sunday, 10 am–4 pm; Monday–Tuesday, 8 am–5pm; and Wednesday, 8 am–2 pm, Third Level Mezzanine.

The Doctor Is In!

Can't get online? Application won't load? File incompatibility? A team of fabulous tech doctors will be available for questions and troubleshooting support. Techs representing some of our tiered sponsors will also be available to answer specific questions about their products and services: Sunday, 10 am–4 pm; Monday–Tuesday, 8 am–5pm; and Wednesday, 8 am–2 pm, Third Level Mezzanine.

WiFi at ISTE 2011

Our free network is accessible in all meeting rooms and public spaces at the PACC except the exhibit hall floor. While network performance can fluctuate due to the number and location of concurrent users, we have worked hard to ensure a robust, high-speed connection for your communication pleasure. Feel free to blog, wiki, email, and research to your heart's content! Our onsite network SSID is iste2011. Stop by the Doctor Is In (Third Floor Mezzanine) for assistance with configurations.

ISTE Resources & Community Respect

We're all about providing a positive conference experience for every participant! Please consider your impact and make good choices when utilizing shared resources or engaging in community activities. Read more about ISTE Resources & Community Respect.

Tell us what you think!

New this year, we are collecting feedback for individual sessions via the new ISTE 2011 mobile app. Use the session search to find a specific session, and then click on the survey to share your thoughts.

Also, be sure to check your email inbox after the conference for a custom link to our overall conference evaluation. All respondents will be entered to win one of four ISTE 2012 registrations. If you don't receive an email from us, please contact conf-eval@iste.org.
