Name Badge & Conference MaterialsThe Registration Area is located in the PACC Grand Hall. Preregistered general attendees pick up badges at the Advance Registration counters. Your name badge will be filed alphabetically by last name. All preregistered main and co-presenters pick up badges at the Presenter Counters. Your name badge will be filed alphabetically by last name. Student Showcase participants should have already received specific directions directly from the Program Coordination office. Onsite Registration HoursPick up your name badge & conference materials during the following hours: Saturday, June 25: 7 am-6 pm Avoid lines and pick your materials up early - your badge is required on Sunday evening for the Keynote and Opening Reception.

Wireless Network We provide a robust, high-speed wireless network to all conference attendees for free. It will be accessible in all meeting rooms and public spaces at the PACC except the conference exhibit hall floor. Actual speed may be affected by network traffic in specific areas. Our onsite network SSID is iste2011. Stop by the "Doctor Is In" (Third Floor Mezzanine) for assistance with configurations. Also be sure to note our recommendations for how to best manage shared bandwidth onsite. Conference HighlightsConference Kick-Off and Member Welcome Sunday, 1-3pm, Terrace Ballroom Make the most of ISTE's rich content at ISTE 2011 and year round. In this fast-paced, fun program look for an inspiring address from ISTE's President Holly Jobe along with other ISTE leaders. Host Mario Armstrong will guide you through your onsite experience, help you network with your peers, and share tips for engaging with your membership throughout the year. ISTE awardees will also be recognized during this session. Networking and Connection Activities Sunday, 3-5 pm, various locations throughout the PACC Look online for details regarding specific activities and locations for member-focused networking activities. A mix of work sessions, meetups, tweetups, and special interest group activities are available. Opening Keynote: Dr. John Medina Sunday, June 27, 5:45-7 pm, Terrace Ballroom (simulcast throughout the PACC at ISTE Central and the lounges) Happy Hour Reception 7-8:30 pm, throughout the PACC Enjoy a fun, social evening with friends and colleagues at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Look for the HP Digital Assist poster sessions, the Global Collaboration Posters, and Student Showcases to be active during this time. The happy hour is open to registered attendees and badged guests only. Your badge is needed for admission. ISTE'S Exhibit Hall The ISTE 2011 Exposition is your chance to see, touch, and learn about products and services from more than 500 top ed tech exhibiting companies in the world! Themed to the NETS, these companies and organizations share ISTE's mission of providing information, services, or tools to help teachers and students unlock their potential in the 21st century. Exhibit Hall hours: Level 2 Join us at the TIPping Point! New this year is our first-ever Technology Infrastructure Pavilion. Located in the Exhibit Hall, this new learning environment features juried sessions and services of particular interest to CIOs, tech coordinators, CTOs, and others. Session titles, topics, and presenters are listed within the printed session listings and the online session schedule and planner. In addition, Tier One Event Sponsor Dell, Inc. is hosting an interactive technology pavilion that gives attendees a hands-on opportunity to explore the critical infrastructure elements required to support a blended learning environment.
Transportation InformationDaily Conference Shuttle Service Free shuttle service will be provided between the PACC and conference hotels further away than a short walk or cab ride to the convention center, Saturday-Wednesday. Approximate transit time from most locations to the PACC will be 10-15 minutes. Please plan accordingly. Shuttle hours are detailed below, and fliers will be available onsite at the Transportation Desk and the ISTE Info Booth (Arch St. at 13th Main Entrance). This schedule is subject to revision. Check the transportation staging area at the PACC and your hotel lobbies for up-to-date frequency, dates, and schedule changes. BYOL Concurrent SessionsBring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) sessions are included as part of your conference registration; however, due to limited seating and high demand these sessions require preregistration to participate. Attendees may sign up for one BYOL session per day (based on availability) via the conference registration form. Check hardware and software prerequisites ahead of time, using the Program Search Details for each session. Onsite: visit the registration area in the Grand Hall to check availability and sign up.
WorkshopsTickets/spaces are still available for selected workshops. To view availability and to add to your registration, check onsite or reaccess your registration before June 17, 2011 at https://www.isteconference.org/ISTE/2011/registration/register/00_login.php Workshops require an additional fee Half-day workshops are $109 each Workshop Locations All workshops are conveniently located onsite at the PACC. Hands-on and seminar/demo workshops are designed to provide in-depth exploration of specific issues and topics. Available in 3-, 6-, and 12-hour segments, workshops require advance registration and an additional fee. Check specific workshop locations in the above conference options section of this email. Your onsite name badge sheet will have individual tickets for your workshop(s) and will also list the workshop locations. All full-day (6hr) Workshops will have a scheduled one-hour break for lunch on your own.
Tour Information & ScheduleTours are available Saturday through Wednesday and depart from the PACC, 12th and Arch St. Lobby (unless otherwise stated). Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to depart. Tour buses will depart promptly at the tour start time. NOTE: ISTE will not be responsible for providing alternate transportation for participants who miss their buses. Evening tours have special logistics; see each tour for details. Tours that return after daily shuttle service has ended for the day will take attendees directly to their official conference hotels. Tour Cancellation Policy: Tour registration deadline is May 26, 2011. Tour cancellations must be made by May 26, 2011 to receive a refund. Note: Refunds are contingent upon ticket resale and are not guaranteed. If a tour is canceled, your money will be refunded in full after the conference. Onsite tour registration will be limited and will be accommodated on a space-available basis. Additional Important InformationCancellation/Substitution Policy Conference and Workshop Registration cancellations will be accepted through June 20, 2011. Full registration cancellations will be subject to a $99 service fee. Student/retired educator and one-day registration cancellations will be subject to a $59 service fee. After the cancellation deadline, no refunds will be granted. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another individual in your place at no extra charge, but the replacement's registration fee will be subject to pricing based on her/his ISTE membership status. NOTE: ISTE memberships and membership-related fees are non-refundable. All cancellations and transfers must be submitted in writing; send an e-mail to or fax to 1.541.346.3545. Your Experience Guaranteed Should your ISTE 2011 experience not live up to your expectations, you may submit your concerns to the registration office in writing. We'll review your request and propose an appropriate remedy. The following conditions apply: All requests will be acknowledged within five business days of ISTE's receipt of your request. Workshop attendees: Certificates of Attendance will be available in each workshop and will be signed by the presenter upon request. Please check with your district or state ahead of time to see if this is a requirement for you.
